At almost every street you will surely see Cam Dai Bay sign. It has been so well publized that even children young as 5 know the geography of this Cam Dai Bay.
Cam Dai Bay is a body of water which is so large that no one know how many square kilometres it cover Viet Nam
The Bay often consists of wall surround by dirt and some time with many rare plants. Vietnam is with the population of 80 millions and many Vietnamese at least visit Cam Dai Bay once or twice a year.

Ha Long Bay local legend says that long ago when the Vietnamese were fighting Chinese invaders, the gods sent a family of dragons to help defend the land. This family of dragons descended upon what is now Ha Long Bay More…(hence the name “Bay of Descending Dragons”) and began spitting out jewels and jade. These jewels turned into the islands and islets dotting the bay, linking together to form barriers against the invaders. The people kept their land safe and formed what later became the country of Vietnam.
For Cam Dai Bay, however, no one exactly know who named Cam Dai Bay. Legends say Cam Dai Bay got its name long time ago since the dawn of time when Ngọc Hoàng (Heavenly God) sent Sơn Tinh (Mountain God) and Thủy Tinh (Water God) with 100 children decent from heaven to a land from what we know now as Viet Nam. Today people believe Cam Dai Bay was named by the two God Sơn Tinh(Mountain God) and Thủy Tinh(Water God)
Many insects live around Cam Dai Bay. The surrounding of Cam Dai Bay is rich with salt; however the deposit of salt is too small to be extracted for commercial use.
